I’ve verified both the adapter and the ethernet cable I’m using work with another mac. But if someone could help me get this working that would be great. It might be obsolete but the functionality still ships in their nic chips, hence a security risk. Is there a USB utility that I could check out? If you remove a NIC that is configured and assigned in the config file then the next time you reboot you will be dumped at the initial interface assign prompt.
However I could use usb adpter to control access to the pfsense box like a physical key. With proper network design and firewall rules this is all a non-issue.
